Yoga Nidra is an efficient method to generate complete mental, emotional and physical relaxation. Within the higher state of raja yoga (Pratyahara; Dharana; Dhyana; and Samadhi) in the “Yoga Sutras” is yoga Nidra. This effective process is practiced entirely in Savasana (lying on the back, the arms and legs are spread at about 45 degrees, the eyes are closed and the breath deep) and allows you to connect to your subconscious thoughts. Many people experience their past lives during Yoga Nidra and begin to understand the depths of soul when continuing this phenomenal practice.

Workshop by Diana-Sophia Virissimo

Have fun going upside! This two hour workshop is a beginner to advanced inversion and arm balancing workshop. It will cover solid alignment cues that will slowly progress into opening the tight areas and strengthening the weak areas needed for inversions. We will incorporate solid Pilates abdominals with posture cues to insure safe progression into poses that might seem out of reach or impossible to some. The neck in headstand and the wrists in handstand are areas that can be injured or tire quickly in these poses. We will work on a way to align the body in anatomical neutral so injury is avoided. These inversion will keep you conscious of alignment in such a way that you will be doing these at 80yrs old.

Foam Rolling & Myofascial Release with Nathan Briner

Learn how to use the foam roller and stretch major muscle groups in this two hour Foam Rolling Workshop. Foam rolling is one of the easiest and fastest ways to stretch, recover, and prevent injury by using myofascial release. Increase muscle flexibility and reduce pain by releasing tension in the connective tissues of the upper back, hips, legs, and IT band. This workshop is also great for the hamstrings, neck, lats, quadriceps, traps and other areas of the body.

Foam rollers will be provided, if you have your own, feel free to bring it!
