Become a Certified Barre Instructor!

Our 17 Hour @ the Barre program will teach you the fundamentals of ballet, Pilates, and weight resistance training that are the basis of a Barre workout. Learn proper cues, postures, form and terminology to create your own unique and challenging Barre class. This course will give you the tools necessary to format your own barre workouts, with tips on music selection too!

Why @ the Barre Fitness?

Barre is a ballet inspired workout that combines dance, resistance training, and Pilates. The moves are low impact but high intensity intervals of strength training immediately followed by deep recovery stretching. Barre classes improve full body muscle tone, lengthen the muscles and help students develop a long and lean physique. Our @ the Barre program will allow you to use your fitness background to make the class your own. You will learn how to structure a class using a simple block format outline, which will create consistency and safety.

Pre-requisites: Participation or observation of two barre classes prior to training. Highly recommended that participants hold a certification in at least one of the following: Yoga, Pilates, Personal Training, or Group X Fitness.

Learn to teach “Baby @ the Barre” with great exercises and movements that new moms can do while wearing their baby in a carrier. Learn babywearing safety, barre exercises and postpartum core exercises. This class is a great way for moms to integrate their baby into workouts and for easing into exercising after delivery. “Baby @ the Barre” helps new moms regain upper and lower body strength by toning arms and legs through cardio, balance and weights . . . all while carrying their baby!

Prerequisites: Recommended to be certified in yoga, pilates, group fitness, or personal training.  Postpartum knowledge.
